Major Urban Redevelopment to Transform Former Industrial Zone in Larnaca

A major urban redevelopment initiative is underway in Larnaca, aiming to transform a former industrial zone into a vibrant residential and commercial hub. The project involves the construction of six modern residential towers, offering over 450 apartments, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, as well as penthouses. The towers will range from 16- to 20-storeys in height, contributing to a dynamic skyline.

Complementing the residential spaces, the development will feature two multi-purpose buildings designed to accommodate retail outlets, restaurants, wellness centres, and office spaces. Residents and visitors will have access to a variety of amenities, including gymnasiums, spa services, children’s play areas, swimming pools, and padel courts. The project also emphasizes green living, incorporating over 9,000 square meters of landscaped areas and providing parking facilities for more than 400 vehicles, including accessible parking options.

Strategically located approximately 400 meters from the coastline, the development offers easy access to the airport, city centre, and emerging coastal areas of Larnaca. This initiative is part of a broader effort to revitalize the former refinery zone, transitioning it into a hub for urban development, tourism, and business activities.

Environmental impact assessments for the project are currently under public consultation, with the Environmental Authority reviewing feedback until June 6, 2025. Pending approval, construction is projected to take approximately 18 months to complete. This development represents a significant step in Larnaca’s evolution, reflecting a commitment to sustainable urban growth and enhanced quality of life for its residents.
